      DEATHS (1875)


      Died at his residence in this county on Tuesday, Dec. 21st of heart disease, Mr. R. H. ivens, being 73 years of age.


      Deceased was an old and highly respected citizen of our country, and his loss will be deeply deplored by a large number of friends and acquaintances.  For a number of years he held the office of magistrate, and afterward filled the office of constable, always performing his duties well and with credit to all concerned.  He lived a useful life and diedin a ripe old age, with the christian assurance he would receive his reward over on the other shore.
