      DIMMITT - Nell Martin, 80, died Monday, June 13, 2005.

      Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Vergil Ichtertz, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home.

      Mrs. Martin was born Nov. 10, 1924, in Canadian. She married John Martin on Sept. 27, 1947, in Clovis, N.M. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dimmitt. She and her husband farmed in Castro and Lamb counties since 1947. She moved to Amarillo to Craig Methodist Retirement Community in 2002.

      She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 2, 1993.

      Survivors include three sons, Tommy Martin and wife, Linda, and Scott Martin, all of Lazbuddie, and Bob Martin and wife, Kay, of Dubuque, Iowa; a daughter, Luan Martin and husband, Dick Cordi, of Amarillo; five grandchildren, D'Ann Ebeling, Andy Martin, Robby Martin, Nathan Jon Martin and Calli Martin; a brother, Mac Connell of Alamogordo, N.M.; and a sister, Doris Thomas of Kerrville.

      The family suggests memorials be to Cowboy Church in care of Craig Methodist Retirement Community, 5500 W. Ninth Ave., Amarillo, TX 79106.
