      LaVerne Robeson, 82, passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009, in Glen Rose.
      Graveside service: 11 a.m. Saturday in Squaw Creek Cemetery in Glen Rose. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Martin's Funeral Home in Granbury.
      LaVerne and her husband, Riley, were married Nov. 8, 1946, in Fort Worth. They moved to Glen Rose in June 1961. She was a founding member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Granbury and leaves behind many friends.
      LaVerne was preceded in death by her husband, Riley Robeson, on Feb. 6, 2009, and a daughter, Cynthia Lewis.
      Survivors: Daughter, Karen Flowers-Schneider; son-in-law, Greg Schneider; granddaughters, Lisa West-Stewart of Arlington and Julia LaVerne Lewis of Glen Rose; grandsons, Doyle Jackson West of Fort Worth and James Riley Lewis of Glen Rose; great-granddaughters, Lauren and Jasi; sister, Shirley Bragg of Fort Worth; and many nieces and nephews.
