      Rodney Dale Kight, 77, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford. He was born April 4, 1932, in Malvern, Ark., to Kenneth Kelso Kight and Mildred Guisinger. He was the president of Southern Brick & Tile. He was the youngest president of the Mississippi/Louisiana Brick Association. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a deacon at the Byhalia First Presbyterian Church.

      Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Holly Springs.

      Survivors include his wife, Kay Kight of Byhalia; one son, David Kelso Kight (Lee-Ann) of Germantown, Tenn.; two daughters, Kathleen Merritt (George) of Virginia Beach, Va., and Helen Warren (Lance) of Collierville, Tenn.; one sister, Iris Blanton Jones of Holly Springs; grandchildren, George, Matthew and Ben Merritt, Anna, Kaylie and Leighen Warren, and Max and Jacob Kight; one great-grandchild, Noah Merritt.
