      Rev. Carolyn Jackson Allbritton, age 62 of Winnsboro, Texas, passed away on Thursday, October 12th, 2017 in Winnsboro. She was born on December 5th, 1954 in Rockwall, Texas to James Holley and Betty Jo Eddens. She was Pastor of First United Methodist Church of Winnsboro.

      Carolyn taught English for twenty years in Caddo Mills, Texas and Rockwall. After earning her Master of Divinity (Cum Laude) from Southern Methodist University, Perkins School of Theology, in 2009, she began her Pastoral duties with the United Methodist Church. Rev. Allbritton served the following congregations of the United Methodist Church, Ladonia/Pecan Gap United Methodist Churches, First United Methodist Church of Alvord, West View United Methodist Church in Greenville, Wolfe City United Methodist Church as well as First United Methodist Church of Winnsboro.

      She was preceded in death by her father, James Holley.

      She is survived by: Husband, Dan Allbritton of Winnsboro, Texas; Step-Mother, Wilma Jean Holley of Honey Grove, Texas; Son, Jordan Jackson of Dallas, Texas; Daughter, Alana Liane of Dallas, Texas and four grandchildren: Remington, Jackson, Naomi, and Eli.

      Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, October 14th, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the First United Methodist Church of Winnsboro. Bishop Michael McKee, Rev. Dr. Vic Casad and Rev. Debbie Lyons will officiate. For those who desire memorial contributions may be directed to The First United Methodist Church of Winnsboro.

      Interment will be held on Saturday, October 21st at 11 AM in the Shiloh Cemetery in Honey Grove, Texas..
