  Obituary   Services for Joan Monroe, 69, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the W.W. Rix Chapel with the Rev. Sylvester Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors of Lubbock. She died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003. Joan was born Dec. 28, 1933, in Motley County. She married James Monroe on June 23, 1985, in Vernon. He died on June 15, 2000. She was a member of Redbud Baptist Church. Survivors include a sister, Nellie Moore of Greenwood, Ind.; three nieces; and four nephews
