      Lester Johnson
      TUSCOLA - Walter Lester Johnson Jr., 70, died Tuesday at his home.

      Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene with the Rev. T.C. Melton officiating, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home.

      Mr. Johnson was born near Ovalo and was a lifelong resident of the Ovalo-Tuscola area. He attended school in Ovalo and married Claudia Jo Shrum in 1954 in Comanche County. He owned and operated Lester Johnson Construction Co., a dirt contracting business, for many years. He then owned and operated Lester Johnson Farms until retiring in 1991.

      Survivors include his wife, of Tuscola; one daughter, Leslie Prentice of Buffalo Gap; one son, Rickie Johnson of Tuscola; one stepdaughter, Judy Stubblefield of Ovalo; one sister, Charlyn Ogle of Abilene; one brother, Merl Johnson of Abilene; and five grandchildren.
