Obituary
aJaunta Jo Frymire (January 19, 1932 - August 13, 2017)
MaJaunta Jo (Betcher) Frymire, 85, of Sweetwater passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Abilene Regional Medical Center.
Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday August 16, 2017 at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Rev. Matt McGowen officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. at Tecumseh Cemetery 12 miles south of Abilene.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at McCoy Funeral Home.
MaJaunta was born January 19, 1932 in Callahan County to the late Albert C. and Era V. (McKinley) Betcher. She married Arthur Slone “Pete” Frymire February 18, 1950 in Taylor County. Pete passed away July 26, 2017. They moved to Sweetwater in 1956 from Taylor County.
MaJaunta graduated from Glen and Lottie’s School of Beauty as a beautician, had worked for Thornton’s Department Store in Abilene, Walls Sewing Factory in Sweetwater and was a hard-working ranch woman. She was a graduate of Oplin High School where she played basketball. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and past member of the B.P.O. Does at the local Elk’s Lodge.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Frymire and wife Judy of Sweetwater; daughters, Brenda Suggs and husband James “Buzz” of Sweetwater, Jill Fleenor and husband Wayne of Louisville, Kentucky; brother, William Betcher and wife Joann of Kermit, Texas; grandchildren, Trilece Weyman of Oplin, Texas, Steven Weyman and wife Mindy of Lampasas, Texas, Sloan Goldberg of Tampa, Florida, and Jax Goldberg of Louisville, Kentucky; and great-grandsons Hayes and Holt Weyman of Lampasas.
Pallbearers will be Steven Weyman, Jax Goldberg, Sid Frymire, Darrell Gilbreath, Greg Burwick and Phillip Allard.
