  Obituary CARLSBAD CURRENT-ARGUS Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico CHRISTESSON Funeral services for Barney Russell Christesson, Sr., 52, 405 Martin Lane, are pending at Denton Funeral Home. He died Sunday at his residence. He was a member of the Hillview Baptist Church and came to Carlsbad from Texas in 1963. Survivors include his wife, Ruby, Carlsbad; three sons, Barney, Jr., and Kelly, both of Carlsbad, and Mark, Artesia; three daughters, Connie Shipley, Hale Center, Texas, Sandy Allen, Monuument, Kaydenna Christesson, Carlsbad; his mother, Winnie Christesson, Clinton, Texas; two brothers, James B. Christesson, Phoenix, Ariz. and Loyd Christesson, Tulsa, Okla.; a sister, Rosetta Peoples, Henryetta, Okla.; three stepdaughters, Pamela Boston, Donna Cline and Maxine Slusher, all of Carlsbad; and 13 grandchildren. CHRISTESSON Services for Barney Russell Chrstesson, 52, 405 Martin Lane, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Denton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Stanley White of Hillcrest Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne Henning, Frances R. Lopez, Richard Kevil, Jack Reeves, Freddie Boston and Wayne Beasley.
