Obituary
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Cole and Maud Mortuary chapel, 215 So. Washington St., for Marvin E. McKinley, Mesa, former Casa Grandean who died Friday in Maricopa General Hospital, Phoenix. Rev. Lolard Simmons, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. McKinley was born July 27, 1911 in Callahan County, Texas. Prior to moving to Mesa, he resided in Casa Grande for 34 years. He was a mechanic and operated the M and M Garage, formerly located on Pinal Avenue where the Shell Service Station now stands.
He was a member of Pinal Lodge No. 30 F and AM.
He and his wife, Pauline Pierce, who survives him, were married Oct. 20, 1931 in Lawn, Texas.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Billy G., of Fort Grant, AZ; his brothers: Eliotte, of Portales, NM, S.L., of Kilgore, TX, Travis, of Mesa, and Clint, of Baird, TX; his sisters, Mrs. J.B. Pierce, of Oplin, TX, and Mrs. Ida Bell Duncan, of Sundown, TX; and two grandchildren.
