  Obituary   Baird, TX Ronnie Coleman McKinley, 80, of Baird, died Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in an Abilene hospice facility. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2018 at Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel of Clyde with Mark Burgess officiating. Burial will follow in the Clyde Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:0 0 until 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Ronnie was born September 14, 1937 in Longview to Clint and Myrtie (Pierce) McKinley. He graduated from Baird High School and married Betty Jones in Baird on June 16, 1956. He worked for the State Highway Department in the District Office for 36 years. Ronnie lived in the Callahan County area for most of his life. He loved tending to his trees in his yard, doing woodwork and fabricating almost anything, including a tractor he built. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty McKinley; four children, Randy McKinley of Abilene, Kerry McKinley and wife Donna of Baird, Mike McKinley and wife Nancy of Abilene and Laura Fisher of Baird; two sisters, Reta McVey of Kingsland and Dorthie Saunders of Abilene; seven grandchildren, Catherine McKinley, Robert McKinley, Brandy McKinley, Elizabeth Parker and husband Matt, Levi McKinley, Brittney Fisher and Ty Fisher; eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew Jeff McVey and a grandson Ronnie Wallace McKinley. Online condolences may be made at www.baileyhowardfuneralhome.com.
