      Funeral services for Ida Belle Duncan, 88, of Levelland and formerly of Sundown will be 2p.m., Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at First United Methodist Church, Levelland with Rev. Jesse Hodge, Levelland, officiating. Burial will be in Sundown Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home.

      She died at 5:25 p.m., Sunday, March 26, 2006 at Covenant Hospital.

      Born on May 11, 1917 in Callahan County, Texas, she moved to Sundown in 1954 from Snyder. She later moved to Levelland. She married L. C. Duncan on Aug. 27, 1937 in Abilene and he preceded her in death on April 15, 1993.

      She was also preceded by a son, Richard Duane Duncan on July 7, 1966. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Levelland and was a volunteer at Covenant Hospital, Levelland for 26 years. She was also a member of the Texaco Petroleum Club and active with the Hockley County Senior Citizens.

      Survivors include a grandson, Devin Duncan of Sioux Falls, SD; a great-grandson, Spencer Duncan, Sioux Falls, SD; a daughter-in-law, Anna Taylor of Denver City, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
