  Obituary   Minnie Lea Scott, 60, of Clyde died Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at her home. Minnie was born August 25, 1954 in Baird, Texas to Herbert and Lucille (Midkiff) Rutherford. She was a 1972 graduate of Baird High School and received her Masters Degree from Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse for hospice care and a professor for Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing at Hardin Simmons Nursing School. She also taught nursing at Cisco Junior College. Minnie married Kyle Scott June 23, 1973 in Baird. They were lifelong residents of the Baird and Clyde areas. Minnie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Baird. Minnie is survived by her husband Kyle Scott of Clyde; son Emory Dow Scott and wife Amy of Sonora; daughter Lee Anne Wheeler and husband Jason of Clyde; brothers Richard Allen Rutherford of Abilene and Olen Carrol Rutherford of Ft. Worth; grandchildren Jasmine, Lillian, Violet, and Bryan Wheeler; father-in-law Jimmy Scott of Clyde. She was preceded in death by her parents and her mother-in-law Helen Scott.
