Interment in the Wallis City Cemetery.
A. D. worked at W.K.M., was a hay farmer, tractor mechanic and loved working on old cars, enjoyed riding around in his jeeps.
A. D. was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wallis, 1960 graduate of Wallis High School.
He was survived by his daughter, Annette Bertrand and husband Jesse of Orchard, sons, Augie Sommers and wife D. J. of Wallis Michael Sommers and fiancé Andrea McMullen of Simonton, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mr. Sommers was preceded in death by his wife, Carolynn Sommers, father, Nathan Sommers, mother, Tonie Vyvial, brother, Maurice Sommers and step-father, Allen Vyvial, Memorials may be made to American Liver Foundation, 39 Broadway, Suite 2700, New York, New York 10006.
