Obituary
Cleone Coursey passed away August, 28, 2009. Viewing will be held. Saturday, August 29, 2009 from 4:00 to 6:00 P. M. at Campbell’s Funeral Home, Spur, TX. In celebration of 94 years of life services will be held August 30, 2009 at 2:00 P. M. at the First Baptist Church, Spur, Tx. Tommy Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Spur Cemetery.
Cleone was born in Van Zant County on April 23, 1915 to Rodger Henson and Nina Johnson Henson. She was a loving mom, who taught Sunday School and baby sat. She worked at Spur Laundry and Dry Cleaners, Salty’s Sewing Factory and served as Deputy Justice of the Peace. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Wanda Sue.
Cleone is survived by her son Glenn and Nell Martin, Spur, Tx. Three daughters, Clovis and Stan Whitefield of Idalou, Tx., Linda and Lee Lambert of Kalgary, Tx., and Bobbie and Joe Shaffer of Spur, Tx. She is also survived by two sisters Lavern Hudgens of Guthrie, Ok., and Jean Headen of Willspoint, Tx and one brother Mack Henson of California. Also Eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers: Craig Lambert, Curtis Lambert, William Chapman, Jamie Leatherwood, Micheal Lambert, and Jeremy Edwards. Honorary Pallbearers: Chris Attaway, and Andy Attaway.
