Obituary
Beth Millsaps Brantley, 67, passed away, on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Dugan Memorial Home, in West Point. She was born August 12, 1945 in Clay County Mississippi to the late Evelyn Louise Foster and Samuel Lawrence Millsaps and was a homemaker. Beth was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for various classes, WMU Director for many years, and sang in the choir. She also served on the Hospitality Committee as Chairman several times. Beth Millsaps Brantley married James D. "Jay" Brantley on August 23, 1967, at Calvary Baptist Church and he preceded her in death on July 23, 2011.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 11, 2012; 2:00 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roy Myers officiating assisted by Rev. Terry Rhodes. Burial will follow in Cedar Bluff Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery Cedar Bluff, MS. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, D'Juana Cummings of New Hope, Stacey Dengler (Chuck) of Hattiesburg, two sons, Ray Brantley (Cobe) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Lawrence Brantley of West Point; seven grandchildren; Aaron Cummings, Beth Ann Cummings, McKinzie Cummings, Charles Dengler, Kaden Dengler, Maddox Brantley and Lynn Dengler; one great granddaughter; Karsyn Cummings, one brother, Hiram Millsaps of West Point. Her brother, Randy Millsaps, preceded her in death.
Pallbearers will be Ed McDonald, Chuck Millsaps, Ray Brantley, Lawrence Brantley, Aaron Cummings, and Chuck Dengler.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. John Cox, Sanctuary Hospice, West Point Ambulance Service, Staff of North MS Medical Center West Point, Staff of Dugan Memorial Home.
