Obituary
PHEBA – Clinton Floyd Cliett, 88, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006, at Pioneer Community Hospital in Aberdeen. He was born May 4, 1917, in Montpelier to Carrie Virginia Ellis and Hugh Lawson Cliett. He was an “A” layout man for B&W Company for 24 1/2 years. He was a member of Pheba Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery at Montpelier.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Young Cliett of Pheba, whom he married June 25, 1941; four sons, Larry Alton Cliett of Pheba, Gary Allen Cliett of Hollywood, Fla., Michael Young Cliett of Byram and Hugh Lawson Cliett of Flora; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ruble Alford, Phillip McCarter, Ted Walker, Danny White, David Forrester and Bob Bates.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Andrew Wartak, Amy Hawkins and the Adult III Sunday School Class.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.
