  Obituary Mantee - Lucy Pearl Ellis Walker, age 96, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 1994 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 19 at Nowell-Robinson Funeral Home Chapel in West Point. Burial was in Palestine Cemetery in Clay County with the Rev. Malcolm Pinion officiating. A native of Clay County, she moved to Mantee 33 years ago where she was active in Mantee Baptist Church until her recent ill health. She graduated from Oakland High School and attended A&M College and preciously taught school in Mayhew. Survivors include five daughters, Billie White of Starkville, Betty Johnson of Mantee, Mary Moseley of Montpelier, Mildred Burgess of Tupelo and Minnie M Burgess of West Point; four sons, Thomas Calvin Walker and L W Walker, both of West Point, Will Frank Walker of Pheba and John Stevens Walker of Mantee; one brother, Tom Ellis of Jackson and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the widow of the late Will Walker and was preceded in death by one son, the late Don Walker. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Mike Walker, Donald Walker, Bill Johnson, Bruce Johnson, Bernard W White and Steve Walker.
