  Obituary   Memorial services for Nina L. Barnett will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2011 in W.W. Rix Chapel with Rev. John Ballard officiating. Mrs. Barnett died August 17, 2011 and crypt side services were held in Restlawn Mausoleum under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors. Mrs. Barnett was born September 5, 1917 to Leslie E. and Lilly F. Balentine Sansing in Cooper, Texas. She has lived in Lubbock most of her life. She married R.D. Barnett on June 7, 1941 in Dallas, Texas. She was a member of Southcrest Baptist Church and an active member of the Downtown Bible Class. She was co-owner and operator with her husband of Master Cleaners. Mrs. Barnett enjoyed gardening, playing games, and having Sunday night dinners with her family. Survivors include her son, Robert Daniel (Dan) Barnett of Los Angeles, Calif.; her daughter, Lee Ann Medley and spouse Donnie Medley of Lubbock, Texas; four grandchildren, Brent Barnett of Glendale, Calif., April Barnett of Santa Barbara, Calif., Krystal Medley Jones and spouse Matt Jones of Lubbock, Kevin Medley of Lubbock, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.D. Barnett on June 30, 1990; her parents; and three sisters Frances Woodard, Mary Briggs Baugh, and Naomi Norris.   Published in the Lubbock Avalanche Journal on September 11, 2011.
