  Obituary Emogene Shepherd, age 91, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 26, 2015 at First Baptist Church with Tique Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home. Emogene was born on August 28, 1923 in Slaton, Texas, to Felix L. and Pearl (Dulaney) Harlan. She married Neal Shepherd on February 7, 1942 in Goree, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She is survived by sons-in-law, Ward Shamblin and Truman Davis; six grandchildren, Lorrye Shamblin Harden, Sharla Shamblin Turner, James Andrew Shamblin, Denise Davis Rea, Daniel Scott Davis, and David Lesley Davis; 12 great-grandchildren, Darci Barney Bushert, Brandon David Harden, Baruch Nathaniel Shamblin, Leslee Rea Shaw, Erica Lynne Rea, Kendall Aaron Rea, Karah Mishael Davis, Jonathon Daniel Davis, Tylan James Davis, Devyn Rayce Davis, Kelci Renee Davis, and Alison Sage Davis; and six great-great-grandchildren, Kamree Denise Shaw, Keylee Hadynne Shaw, Brayden Scott Davis, Trenton Neal Dunn, Gracie Kay Davis, and Lillyanne Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Pearl Harlan; her husband, Rev. Neal Shepherd; two daughters, Jean Carolyn Shamblin and Betty Gale Davis; one brother, Felix Harlan; and one sister, Ollie Fowler. Pallbearers will be J.D. Davis, Ty Davis, Kendall Rea, Clayton Jones, Justin Shaw, Ricky Rolin, and David Brown. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM
