She was a devout Christian and a long time resident of Galveston County. She worked for many years for an insurance co. in Galveston and later became an enrolled agent preparing taxes for businesses and individuals in the Clear Lake area and Galveston County.

Darlene is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Rip Anderson; her beloved granddaughter, Eternity Danielle.

She is survived by her loving husband, two sons, one step daughter, one step son, eight grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, one devoted daughter in law, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, numerous devoted friends and her loving dogs, Amber and Prissy.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas.
