      CARRELL, Barbara Jean Passed away on October 17, 2014. She was born October 7, 1938 in Cooper, Texas. Shortly thereafter, she and her parents moved to Dallas. She graduated from South Oak Cliff H.S. in 1957. She attended NTSU receiving B.S. and Masters Degrees. She taught Business at Kimball H.S. in Oak Cliff in 1961 and later became a Guidance Counselor. She transferred to Bryan Adams H.S. in 1977; remaining there until her retirement in 1993. She was an active member in the Vanguard Chapter of ABWA from 1967 to 2013 serving as President three times. Barbara accepted Jesus as her Savior at age 14 and was an active member in various congregations, most recently the Highland Oaks Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Gladys Carrell. She is survived by an abundance of cousins and dear friends who have treasured her kindness and cheerfulness for decades. Her service will be at Restland Funeral Home on Monday, October 20, at 12:30 PM in The Wildwood Chapel, with visitation preceding the service at 11:45, Burial to follow at Restland.
