  Obituary   Mr. Nickey Howard Young, age 71 of Winnsboro, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015 at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Nickey was born in Winnsboro on August 11, 1943 to the late Howard and Teddie Maurine Turner Young. He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and later retired from EasTex Crude where he was a truck driver for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mrs. Brenda (Gill) Young of Winnsboro; sons, Mike Young and wife Christy of Winnsboro, Mark Young and wife Tamara of Hughes Springs; brother, Donald Young and wife Ruth of Whitehouse; sisters, Bobbie Griffith of Winnsboro, Jill Hill of Sulphur Springs, Tammy Smith and husband Richard of Winnsboro; and four grandchildren, Josh Hooks, Mason Young, Kodi Young, and Makayla Young.
