      Services for Lt. Col. Daniel H. Tate in Arlington National Cemetery near Washington are pending. Col. Tate, who was reported killed in Vietnam yesterday, was a 22 yr. veteran of the U. S. Air Force and had been in Vietnam since August of 1970.


      He was born in Pollok on June 1, 1931, and attended Central Independent School and Sam Houston State in Huntsville, Texas where he received his Master's degree.


      Survivors: wife, Sara; sons, Danny, Steve and Richard; mother, Mrs. Fleta Tate and brother.
