Obituary
BORGER — Franklin "Joe" Tate, 75, of Borger died Friday, Dec. 2, 2011.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Minton Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Melvin Brooks of Borger officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Hope at Westlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mr. Tate was born Nov. 3, 1936, in Linden to Joe Franklin and Ira Mae Tate. He loved camping,
fishing, traveling, the Dallas
Cowboys and K-9 training.
Survivors include his wife, Lorna; three sons, Jack
Youngblood of Elk City, Okla., John Tate Russell of Borger and Doug Tate of New Boston; three daughters, Merinda Burkhalter and Ramona Carrell, both of Borger, and Paula Shook of Clarendon; 10 grandchildren; and several great-
grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
