  Obituary   Darrell Douglas Davis, 65, passed peacefully at his home Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015. Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at Alpine Funeral Home, 2300 N. Sylvania, Fort Worth. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at the funeral home. Darrell was born Oct. 14, 1949, to Ed Davis and Patsy Akins and grew up in North Richland Hills. Darrell enjoyed music, sports, western movies, trivia and meeting new people. He served in the Vietnam War from 1968-1972. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 37 years, Susan; and brother, John. Survivors: Daughter, Andrea Hertz; sons, Matthew and Sean Davis; stepmother, Nancy Davis; brothers, Ed Jr., Mike and Donald Davis; sister, Debbie Hall; granddaughters, Alissa, Megan, Hanna and Kacie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
