Obituary
Warren W. Fortner, age 92 of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, July 9. He was born in Atlanta, GA on April 18, 1922.
He married Mildred Wooster on February 1, 1941. Mr. Fortner was a member of the Baptist faith for 80 years. He graduated from Atlanta Law School and served in the CCC's and the US Army. Mr. Fortner was a World War II Veteran as well as a Mason for 57 years. He retired as a correctional counselor for the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Atlanta, GA, as a Field Deputy Sheriff of Sevier County, TN, as well as a security guard at Dollywood. He was active in the Airstream Travel Trailer Club for 45 years. After retirement, Warren and Mildred travelled extensively, visiting all 50 states, most of Mexico, and every province in Canada.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clem H. Fortner, Sr. and Fannie S. Fortner, daughter Cathy Johnson Chauncey, brothers Clem H. Fortner, Jr. and John A Fortner, and sister Katie Lee Sikes.

Wife of 73 years: Mildred Ruth Fortner
Daughter: Sharon Ruth Fortner Fore (Warren)
Grandchildren: W. Keith Fore (Teresa) of Troutman, NC, Dana Fore Keiffer (Joe) of Pendleton, KY, Jeremy C. Johnson (Nicole) and Katy Johnson (Drew), both of Conyers, GA.
Great-grandchildren: Mack, Mitch, and Savannah Keiffer, Nicole, Brooke, and Allie Fore, Jacob, James, and Jacey Johnson, and Emma-Lyn Collett

Family and friends will meet at Atchley Funeral Home, Seymour at 8:30 Monday for a procession to East Tennessee Veteran's Cemetery on John Sevier Highway for a 9:30 AM graveside service with Rev.
