      Fought at the Battle of King's Mountain (South Carolina, near present-day King's Mountain NC) in the American Revolutionary War on Oct 7, 1780 which lasted about an hour.  The battle was between Patriot Militia and British Loyalists.  There is an application for headstone being shipped to Fletcher NC in Henderson County).
