      Memorial services for Carolyn Ann 'Cat' (Rast) McClure Burns, 57, of Lufkin, will be held at Lancewood Baptist Church, with Bro. Louie Lawson officiating.


      Carolyn was born November 13, 1955 in Angelina County, Texas, the daughter of the late Leona (Bairfield) and John Elmer Rast. She passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.


      Carolyn was born in Angelina County and attended school in Diboll. She worked at Lufkin Electric and then worked for a convenience store until 2012. She enjoyed going to church, and loved her family and friends, playing '42' and traveling. She was a member of Lancewood Baptist Church.


      Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Oder and Andrew Wallace (Lufkin); daughters, Shannon Romero and Breanna Burns (Lufkin); sons-in-law, Michael Oder, Sr. and James Romero, sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Ann and Bill Thompson; Addie Witt, Shirley and John Wilson and Linda and Red Reynolds; brothers, Robert Rast, Floyd Ray Rast and wife Judy, Johnny Rast and Charles Rast; grandchildren, Tandy Oder, Nolan Chase Romero, Michael 'Bubba' Oder, Kaleb Romero, Makayla Romero, K.T. Tullos and Felisha Tullos.


      In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her brother, J.E. Rast; sister-in-law, Shirley Rast; nephew, Richard Thompson; and brother-in-law, Joe Witt.


      Memorial contributions in Carolyn's memory may be made to Lancewood Baptist Church, 2535 Bethlehem Road, Lufkin, TX 75904.
