Obituary
Services for Mr. Wordy Ray Paul will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Longview Baptist Church, Deville with Reverend Robby Poole and Reverend Dale Hutchinson officiating. Burial will be in Longview Baptist Church Cemetery, Deville, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.
The family requests that visitation be observed Monday at Hixson Brothers, Pineville from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will continue on Tuesday at Longview Baptist Church from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Paul, 87, of Deville passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Oakhaven Community Care Center, Center Point, Louisiana.
Mr. Paul was a life-long member of Longview Baptist Church, Deville, and longtime member of The Woodmen of The World. He will be remembered for his kindness strong sense of humor, and for being a dedicated husband, caring father. Mr. Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army. He will be truly be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Martha Price Paul, brothers, Dewey Paul, Joe Ed Paul and Halford Paul; sisters, Hattie Lee Sasser and Geraldine Brown.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 67 years, Christine Reeves Paul; daughter, Sundra Mabou and husband, L. C.; brother, Ellis Paul; grandson, Scott Mabou and wife, Karri; great grandchildren, Blaine Mabou and Kaylee Mabou.
Pallbearers will be Scott Mabou, Blaine Mabou, Roger Paul, Jamie Floyd, Wayne Paul and David Paul. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Wayne Paul, Gary Paul and Daryl Paul.
