      Truman A. Alwell, 76, of Jonesville, died at 7:00 a.m. Monday April 22, 1991, at Homage
      Manor Nursing Home. He was a retired farmer, and retired Catahoula Parish School bus driver for 28 years. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Larto Pentecostal Church with the Revs. Claude Terral, Marvon Trisler Jr., and Jack Knapp, officiating. Burial followed at Pease Cemetery near Larto under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.


      Survivors include five sons, Jerry Alwell of Jonesville, Terry Alwell, Billy Alwell and Bradley Alwell, all of Beaumont, Texas, and Clint Littleton of Wildsville; four daughters, Doris Alwell and Velma Smith, both of Jonesville, Marvin LaPrairie and Addie Wiley, both of Larto; three brothers, Ivey Alwell of Houston, Herman Alwell of Buna, Texas, and Albert Alwell of Deville; one sister, Dora
      Mae Charrier of New Orleans.


      Pallbearers were Robert Wiley, Winford Wiley
      Jr., Darrell LaPairie, George LaPairie, Jr., Wallace LaPrairie and Willie Tradewell.
