Obituary
Clyde Howard Murph, 63, passed away Friday, May 27, 2011. He was born June 13, 1947 in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi. Howard served in the U. S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He had been a resident of Rockport for over 40 years. Howard retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., served on the Board of Charlie's Place and was a member of the Lamar Volunteer Fire Dept. He was currently an Aransas County Commissioner and had held that position since 2002.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Harold Murph, brothers, John Michael Murph and James Irwin Murph and sister, Emily Kay Murph.
He is survived by his wife, Janice of Rockport; mother, Sister Mary Louise Mount of Corpus Christi; brother, Larry (Arlene) Murph of Tyler, sister, Melanie (Dwayne) Harrison of Dallas; children, Andrew Murph and Jocelyn (Raymond) Hargrove, both of Rockport and Jason (Priscilla) Moon of Mathis; grandchildren, Emily Phillips, Mason Moon, Drake Hargrove, Ashton Hargrove and R. J. Hargrove, all of Rockport and Alexis Moon and Jason Moon, both of Bellville and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., Monday, May 30, 2011. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel, Rockport with interment to follow at Lamar Cemetery.
