      Mr. Charles Edward Mealer, Sr., age 59 of Franklin, TN died June 19, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Mealer was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for eighteen years for Fibertek in Franklin. Preceded in death by parents, Leonard Earl and Dossie Lee Turman Mealer and son, William Dale Mealer. Survived by: wife, Mary Mealer of Franklin, TN; daughter, Tammy Lynn Mealer of Franklin, TN; son, Charles Edward (Vickiy) Mealer, Jr. of Aberdeen, NC; grandchildren, Chris & Ashleigh Welton and Olivia Katherine Mealer; brothers, Eddie Dean (Shelia) Mealer of Franklin, TN, David Earl (Judy) Mealer of Spring Hill, TN, Marvin Glenn (Kim) Mealer of Franklin, TN, Gary Michael (Tammie Carter) Mealer of Franklin, TN and Ronald Bruce (Polly) Mealer of Franklin, TN and sister, Linda Sue Mealer. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Thompson Station Church of Christ, Johnny Webb and Mike Williams officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers, Jon & Zach Hood, David Skidmore, Nick Pierce, Tommy Parker and Jason Herring. Honorary pallbearers, Elders and Deacons of Thompson Station Church of Christ. Visitation starts 12:00 Noon Tuesday and anytime on Wednesday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.       Charles died from metastatic colon cancer.

      Charles was an incredibly kind man, whose laugh could fill an entire house. He was utterly devoted to his family. He was an absolutely devout Christian, serving as song-leader and lay-preacher in the Church of Christ. Either he or his brother Ronald would always give the blessings over every meal.
