Mrs. Joyce B. Tice - Wednesday, September 25, 1991
MIDWAY, Georgia --- Mrs. Joyce Byrd Tice, 56, died Saturday at home.
The Chatham County native lived in Pooler most of her life before moving to Midway in 1984. She was a clerk with the U. S. Postal Service in Pooler for 27 years and a member of Fleming Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, William Paul Tice, of Midway; a son, David B. Boxxe of Savannah; two daughters, Mrs. Terri Lewis of Stilson and Mrs. Tammy Crosby of Pooler; three stepsons, Billy Tice of Newington, Bobby Tice of Pooler, and Barry Tice of Ellabell; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Renee Short of Bloomingdale; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Varden M. Byrd of Pooler, 19 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral: 11 A.M. Thursday at Fleming Baptist Church, burial in Gravel Hill Cemetery near Pooler.

TICE: -- Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce B. Tice will be Thursday at 11 A.M. at the Fleming Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Goddard officiating. Grave side services 12:15 P.M. Active pallbearers will be David Boxxe, Billy Tice, Bobby Tice, Barry Tice, Billy Short, Randy Lewis, Ricky Crosby and John Tice. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Silver Years and the Adult Men #2 Sunday School Class. Visitation at the church from 10 until 11 Thursday A.M. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery in Pooler. Carter Funeral Home of Hinesville in charge of arrangements.
