      Norma W. Oliver


      Norma Woodward Oliver, 81, died Oct. 25. She was a native of Burke County and the widow W. Cheves Oliver. She was a graduate of the University of Georgia and was certified in elementary education, English, French and Latin and also was a media specialist. She retired from the Savannah-Chatham Board of Education.


      She was a member of the National Education Association, the Georgia Education Association and the Chatham County Education Association. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Pooler.


      SURVIVORS: a daughter, Norma Ann Oliver of Pooler; a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen H. and Linda Oliver of Knoxville, Tenn.; a sister, Frankie W. Edwards of Augusta; a brother, Harry O. Woodward of Keysville; and several nieces and nephews.


      VISITATION: 1-2 p.m. Thursday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Drayton Chapel.


      MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2 p.m. Thursday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Drayton Chapel.


      REMEMBRANCES: Bell tower Fund at Trinity United Methodist Church in Pooler.
