Obituary
GARDEN CITY -- C. Marvin Exley, 78, of 90 Varnadoe Ave., died Saturday at home after a short illness. The Effingham County native was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He was retired from Pierpont Manufacturing Co. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Annie Laurie Hall Exley of Garden City; a daughter, Miss Peggy Anderson of Honolulu; a son, Dr. Charles M.. Exley Jr. of Stone Mountain; five sisters, Mrs. Lena Wendelken, Mrs. Wilgenia Carrigg and Mrs. Blanche Kessler, all of Rincon, Mrs. Beulah Weitman of Springfield and Mrs. Marie Exley of Clyo; a brother, Warring Exley of rincon; two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral: 10 a.m Monday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, burial in Jerusalem Lutheran Church Cemetery in Ebenezer. Terry C. Massey Funeral Home Remembrances: Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Services for Mr. Exley will be held 10 a.m. Monday from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Rev. David Rasmussen officiting. Pallbearers will be nephews, Carson Carrion, Demond Exley, Walter Weitman, Will Wendelken, Bennie Kessler, and Cordell Exley. Burial will follow at Jerusalem Lutheran Church Cemetery at Ebenezer. Terry C. Massey Funeral Home in charge.
