Ralph G. Zeigler
RINCON - Ralph G. Zeigler, 92, died March 2, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
The Effingham County native was a retired Postmaster of Rincon Post Office and a lifelong member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church.
He was a decorated World War II US Army veteran, past president of Georgia Salzburger Society, past Fire Chief of Rincon, a member of Springfield Masonic Lodge #440 and a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Eastern Star, a member of Woodmen of the World, and a former Trustee for New Ebenezer.
Survivors include his son, Gill Zeigler (Patsy) of Springfield; three daughters, Gwendolyn Z. Goudelock (Ed) of Evans, GA, Angela Z. Ivey (Doug) of Watkinsville, and Trudie Z. Scott of Rincon; 9 grandchildren, Paula Russell, Whit Goudelock, April Pilcher, Marshall Ivey, Olivia Ivey, Teddy Ivey, Michael Mastin, Paul Mastin, and Abby Tebeau; 11 great-grandchildren; caregivers, Abby Tebeau, Paula Bland, and Joyce Kelly; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2010 in the funeral home.
Funeral: 3 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2010 at Jerusalem Lutheran Church.
Interment: Jerusalem Lutheran Church Cemetery.
