  Obituary   Sun News, The (Myrtle Beach, SC) - September 21, 1996 Deceased Name: George B. Helmly EUTAWVILLE -- George ''Buddy'' Benjamin Helmly, 68, of Penn Lane died Thursday, Sept. 19, 1996, at home after an illness. He was born in Savannah, Ga., a son of the late I.E. Helmly Sr. and Clyde Crawford Helmly. Mr. Helmly was president of P & H Corp., president of K-Market Inc. and founder of Eutaw Grocery and Ice. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Cooper Helmly; two sons, Keith Helmly of Holly Hill and Kevin Helmly of Eutawville; a sister, Dorothy Messer of Myrtle Beach; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be from 7-9 tonight at Avinger Funeral Home of Holly Hill. The family will also receive friends at the home. The funeral will be at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Hope Lutheran Church, Vance. Burial will be in Eutawville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hope Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 67, Vance 29163.
