      STILSON - Mr. Wayne Knight, age 50, died Saturday, October 28th, after a long illness. The Chatham County native lived in Bulloch County most of his life. He was a graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School. Mr. Knight retired from Hercules Inc. of Savannah after many years of service and was a member of the Operating Engineers Union. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his granddaughter. Mr. Knight was preceded in death by his father, Calhoun Knight.


      Surviving are his wife, Cindy Geiger Knight of Stilson; a son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Tara Knight of Stilson; a granddaughter, Ansley Knight of Stilson; his mother, Idell Helmly Knight of Stilson; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Perry and Jeannie Knight of Stilson and Winton and Larissa Knight of Effingham County; a sister, Donna Knight of Lyons; and his mother-in-law, Earline Geiger of Pembroke.


      The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Bryant officiating, assisted by Glenn McDaniel.


      The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Statesboro Smokehouse of Alcoholics Anonymous, P.O. Box 564, Statesboro, Ga. 30459.
