      Clarence Hester, 94, died Wednesday
      at Azalealand Nursing Home after a
      short illness.


      He was a native of Effingham County
      and lived in Savannah the past 77 years
      and was a member of Evangelical Lutheran
      Church of the Ascension. He was
      in the automobile business in Savannah
      for 21 years, a General Motors truck
      dealer and Hester Motors Truck dealer
      for 32 years, including 5 years as a heavy
      duty case dealer. He was a member of
      Solomon's Lodge No..I, F.&A.M., a 32nd degree
      Mason and a member of the Degree
      Team,


      Surviving are a son, C. Earl Hester of.
      Savannah; four grandchildren; and five:
      great-grandchildren..


      Graveside service: 2 p.m. today in
      Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park Cemetery.
