Charles Edward Zipperer Sr.
Charles Edward Zipperer, Sr., 78, died Friday, March 8 at Hospice Savannah, Inc.
A native and lifelong resident of Savannah, he was retired from Masons, Inc. as a printer and from Konter Realty as a licensed real estate agent. Currently, he was a Funeral Assistant with Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors. He was a member of Skidaway Island Baptist Church and formerly a member of Calvary Baptist Temple. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Travis Culbreath.
Survivors: wife of 55 years, Beverly Zipperer of Savannah; daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie Z. and Alan Tanner of White House, TN, JoAnn Z. and Eddie Grooms of Woodstock, Dawn Z. and Tommy Culbreth of Snellville, Darlene Z. and Greg Meyer of Winder; son and daughter-in-law, Charles Edward Zipperer, Jr. and Janice Zipperer of Dacula; sister, Elizabeth Martin of Savannah 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6:00-9:00 p. m. Sunday, March 10 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Home Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral: 2:00 p. m. Monday, March 11 at Skidaway Island Baptist Church with Reverend James Staubes officiating.
Pallbearers: Jeff Grooms, Greg Tanner, Ben Tanner, Dustin Culbreth, Aaron Meyer, Bucky Moore and Austin Edward Meyer.
Burial: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
