Obituary
EDEN -- Loraine C. Tuttle Davis, 89, died July 3 at Candler Hospital.
She was born in Effingham County and was a member of Powers Baptist Church where she was the church pianist and taught Sunday School for 35 years. She was a charter member as well as the first president of the WMU. She retired after 28 years as the postmaster at the Eden Post Office. She was a member of NARFE No. 249.
SURVIVORS: three daughters and sons-in-law, Ernestine D. and Frank C. Kline and Cynthia D. and Bill Mamais, all of Savannah and Andrea D. and James D. Johanson of Eden; two sons, Ernest L. Davis Jr. of Atlanta and Roland T. Davis of Eden; a brother, Gordon (Tooker) Tuttle of Savannah; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 7-9 p.m. today at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, West Chatham Chapel in Pooler.
FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Thursday at Powers Baptist Church , burial in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
