      Deceased Name: W . Gordon Tuttle
      Savannah - Winfred Gordon Tuttle, 84, died Monday, June 26, 2006 at his residence under the care of Hospice Savannah Inc.


      Mr. Tuttle was born May 19, 1922 in Effingham County to the late Charles R. and Julia Elizabeth Crawford Tuttle.


      He graduated from Marlow Consolidated High School and served in the United States Army in World War II.


      Mr. Tuttle was a lifelong active member of Grace United Methodist Church and was voted Man of the Year in 2003.


      He retired from Morton Salt Company after 33 years of service and was a Mason and a member of Windsor Forest Senior Center.


      Mr. Tuttle was an avid bowler and was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church Bowling Team.


      He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen Rogers Tuttle.


      Survivors include his wife, Mary Tuttle of Savannah; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Bill McRight of Denham Springs, LA and Karole and Richard Butchok of Baltimore, MD; one son, Doug Tuttle formerly of Jacksonville, FL; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.


      A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2006 at Grace United Methodist Church.


      In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church or Hospice Savannah Inc.
