      GUYTON - Bartimus W.C. "Bill" Brown, 75, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at his residence.


      The Effingham County native was a farmer and a member of Guyton Masonic Lodge #428. He had served in the US Army and was the Charter President of the Effingham County Goat Association.


      Survivors include his wife, Barbara M. Brown; daughters, Carol Brown Clemmons, Roxanne Brown Crawford (Randy), and Clara Brown Barnes (David); step-daughter, Pamela Beck Smith (Blaine); step-son, G. Rommel Beck (Linda); sisters, Barbara Briley (Al) and Jean Trott (Buck); 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.


      Visitation: 3-5 pm Saturday, February 2, 2013 in the funeral home.


      Services will be private.
