Mr. George P. Snider, who has been in declining health for several years, died yesterday afternoon, at 4 o'clock, at the residence of his brother-in-law, Rev. Dr. Jos.S. Key. His disease was consumption. Near three years ago Mr. Snider had so failed in health that he was compelled to give up business, and seek safety in retirement and quiet. The fatal disease baffled all attempts to arrest it. The skill of physicians and the kind ministrations of love alike failed. And yesterday, as quietly as a child sinks to sleep, his life closed.
The remains will be taken to Savannah by the train this morning for burial in the family vault in Laural Grove Cemetery. Mr Snider was forty-eight years old.
