Obituary
MINTON, James Franklin, Jr., In loving memory of James who passed away on August 26, 2011 in Tucson, AZ surrounded by family and friends. Born at home near La Palma, AZ in 1930, Jim, son of Frank and Ruth Minton, led an eventful life as an Army cold weather training instructor during the Korean War, was an avid snow/water skier and a country dance enthusiast. He retired from Magma Mining Company in San Manuel, AZ after 32 years as an underground copper miner. Jim is survived by his two sisters, Jessie Miller of Oracle, AZ and Elizabeth Perkins of Del Rio, TX. Further survivors are Jim's children: J. Brad Minton and Bill Bornhoeft (Tucson, AZ), Stephanie Minton (Ft Collins, CO) and children, James - Maui, HI, Michelle - Cheyenne, WY, Justin -Ft. Collins, CO, Mark Minton (Tucson, AZ) and child, Brandi -Tucson, AZ and Dana and Mark Ioli (Sparks, NV) and children, Ciarra and Ethan-Sparks, NV. Join us for a Memorial Service on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85716, 520-326-4343. In lieu of flowers, donations will be contributed to Veterans Retirement Home.
