      It is with deep regret and sorrow that the family of Fred Jones announce his death.


      Fred was born in Jayton, TX, to S.C. and Pauline Jones.


      As a child, his family moved to Caruthers where Fred lived and farmed until his death.


      Fred was a man of humor, compassion, and love. He dearly loved his family and friends and would light up the room with his gentle and comforting smile. We will miss hearing your stories, your sense of humor, your joyful heart, and your endless dedication to your family.


      Fred was preceded in death by his father, S.C. Jones; his mother, Pauline Jones; his brother, James Jones; his daughter, Susan Uecker; and his granddaughter, Markie Weed.


      Fred is survived by his wife Mildred Jones; his daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and Mike Nelson; his daughter, Becky Ripley; his grandchildren, Christopher Jones, Jimmy Selzer, Courtney Nelson, Sarah Nelson, and Nichole Weed; great-grandson, Dominic Jones; brother, S.C. Jones Jr. and his wife Ernestine; sister, Janelle Guynes and her husband Jerry; sister, Jadine Duff and her husband Danny; and many nieces and nephews.


      Visitation will be held at Palm Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, January 25, 2006, from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Palm Memorial Chapel on Thursday, January 26, 2006, at 1:00 p.m.
