Obituary
Biloxi, MS
Ms. Charlotte Smith began her journey to heaven the evening of September 3, 2013. Charlotte was 73 years of age and has been a resident of Biloxi, MS since birth. She was born in Biloxi and was a dedicated worker at AAFES Keesler Main Exchange for 32 years, which is where she retired. Ms. Smith is a firm believer in God and was of the Catholic faith. She had many hobbies and interests. Reading was something she enjoyed to do in her alone time. She also played bingo, Judy's Pokeno night, often went shopping and had a 5:00 coffee hour EVERY evening with her 'gossip group' (Lana, Brenda, Judy, Pat). Spending time with her grandchildren was her all-time favorite thing to do.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her mother, Rosemary King, father, Charles Patton King and brother, Daniel Louis King.
She is survived by her son, David Smith and daughter, Kelly (Wayne) Ross of Biloxi, sister, Gloria Phelps of N.C., sister, Patricia Morton of GA, brother, Wayne (Judy) King, brother, Ray King, sister, Ella (Billy) Buchanan, all in Biloxi and sister Kim (Bo) Gaddis in Jackson, MS; grandchildren: Heather (Robby) Tyson, Michael, Hannah, Charles, Jared Smith, Libby & Madelynn Ross; and great grandchildren: Alivea & Paisli Jean Tyson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be Noon Friday, September 6, 2013 at Sacred Heart Church, 10446 Lemoyne Blvd in D'Iberville. Visitation begin at 10:30AM. We will lay her to rest following the service at D'Iberville Memorial Park.
