      Athens, Ga., January 27 -(Special)-


      The funeral of Mr. John Howze, killed in an automobile accident in Los Angeles last week, was conducted here this morning, the burial being in Oconee cemetery.  Companions of his boyhood here acted as pallbearers.  He was a grandson of the late Dr. Henry J. R. Long, and a grandnephew of Dr. Crawford Long, of Athens.  Relatives from Birmingham and Los Angeles accompanied the remains to this place.
