Mrs. Annie Frist Taken by Death
Mrs. Annie Stroud Frist, 83, 419 Turrentine Avenue, died at 12:30 p.m. yesterday at her residence following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., tomorrow in Collier-Butler Chapel, with Dr. O.A. Davis and Rev. Claude Grigsby officiating.
Burial will be in Forrest Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Dr. H.T. Wells, W.R. Moon, Dr. J.P. Gillespie, J.W. Caddell, S.E. Berkstresser, Frank Martin, Charles and Robert Cowan.
Honorary pallbearers will be all personal friends.
Hrs. Frist is survived by two sons, Edward Franklin Frist and Clarence Harold Frist, both of Gadsden; a sister, Miss Kitty Stroud, Gadsden; one granddaughter, Mrs. Jerry Thompson, Gadsden; two grandsons, Fred and Harry Duke, both of Gadsden; and four great-grandchildren.
A native of Jackson Gap, and a resident of Gadsden for most of her life, Mrs. Frist was the wife of the late Emmett Franklin Frist. She was a member of First Baptist Church, having been active in many church and civic activities.
The body will remain at Collier-Butler through the hour of service.
